Nike NSW ‘Made in Italy’ Collection

March 7th, 2012 / No Comments » / by Staff

For the Spring/Summer 2012 collection, the NSW design team drew inspiration from Rugby in anticipation of the 2012 Six Nations Tournament. A key piece in the capsule range is the Nike 1823 Rugby Shirt, which has been given a premium upgrade with panelled wool and cotton construction. Other iconic Nike pieces such as the Destroyer and Windrunner jackets have been reimagined with innovative new silhouettes and detailing, constructed in luxury materials such as perforated calfskin nubuck leather and a cotton/silk blend, as well as technical fabrics such as RipStop Nylon. As a finishing touch, indicative of the level of quality and attention to detail present throughout the collection, all zippers used are Italian-made ‘Lampo’ zips by Lanfranchi.

When we posted about the Nike Foamposite Galaxy One, we didn’t think that it would cause so much hype. Standing in lines for days, Sneakerheads hoped to get their chance of the limited edition sneaker, not knowing that they would become apart of history. With that being said, we don’t have any problems with camping out for sneakers, in fact, many of our editors have done the same thing for many releases. However, we think that if you are willing to pay 81,000 USD for a pair of sneakers, you are going a little over board. What are your thoughts on this topic?

Check out the auction on eBay here and see for yourself. When will sneakerheads reach their limit?

Nike x Size? All Court Mid Collection

February 20th, 2012 / No Comments » / by Staff

Nike and Size? are no strangers as they have collaborated many times in the past and this season they have got together once more for another collection of sneakers. Thanks to Sneaker News we get some exclusive shots and details on the upcoming release.

Sneaker News previewed an upcoming pack of Nike Sportswear exclusives from Size? back in January, a set that combined four Nike Toki midtops with a duo of All Court Mid designs.  We just found out that the All Court’s closest kin in the NSW catalogs will be joining the set, but while Size?’s Blazer Highs go for the Premium VNTG look, these new Nike All Court Mids only hint at that kind of classic appeal with their grainy leather uppers.  Blue and green pairs are both accented by soft blue Swooshes, and together create even more connection with the aforementioned VNTG Blazers now that Size? has released a two-pack of each with one more pair of pairs in store for the near future.  There’s no release date on these as of this writing, but with the green-Swooshed Blazer hitting Size? on Monday, you can expect these to follow suit soon.
