Now throw away the tanks and tees of Summer and wrap a scarf around your neck, a three quarter length fur around your back and some sky high boots on your feet. The opulence of Winter is your pallet and your body is your canvas. So pop in your Diddy Beats earbuds, throw the Macbook in your Black Beauty Headporter case and set your ipod to The Coldest Winter and gear up to navigate the concrete jungle. This is black “hoodie” rap! Kanye West’s “Power” is the song of the year and it’s only June. It will be hard for another artist to surpass the message and the relevance of this song. With enough oil spewing into the gulf to send a moped to Uranus and BP literally getting away with murder; Kanye’s award show antics seem to fail in comparison to the real “POWERs that be”.
