Kris Van Assche x Eastpak
Eastpak has picked its latest collaborator — Kris Van Assche. The Belgian designer will present the seven-piece collection he’s designed for the luggage and backpack company at his fall 2011 show in Paris today. The backpacks and oversize shoulder bags — in materials such as parachute cloth, leather and rough cotton — will be available in Europe at a selection of Eastpak and Kris Van Assche retailers from June, and will be priced from 50 euros, or $67 at current exchange, through to 200 euros, or $269. A spokesman for Van Assche said the collaboration would likely continue into the spring 2012 season. The collection is the latest in a series of Eastpak’s collections by edgy men’s designers, including Raf Simons, Rick Owens, Christopher Shannon and Gaspard Yurkievich.
