Point Of Style Interview With: Joe Exclusive

Joe Exclusive is a veteran in the fashion industry. He is a stylist to the stars, but these days he seems Hell bent on taking over the fashion industry as a image designer. As a stylist Joe has worked with everyone across the spectrum of entertainment including athletes, musicians actors and actresses. He is known for his garish and opulent presence on the fashion scene.  Joe is a Bay area native who now nomadically crisscrosses the country looking for up and coming stars and inspiration in all of the major American cities. Joe has created a career as a highly sought after stylist by knowing his superstar clients tastes and transforming them into red-carpet magic. Now he’s sprinkling a little bit of  superstar magic on everyday people.

Swagger Junky: Where are you from?

Joe:BAY AREAAAAAA …RICHMOND CA

Swagger Junky: Do you think that growing up there changed your aspect of style? We know not everyone is born with style and some people have to create their own unique style, did you have to create your own?

Joe:YES… I WAS KNOWN AS STYLISH AND FLASHY..FROM MY BLOND HAIR 2 MY CRAZY OUTFITS..I HAD A SEE THRU SHEeR JODECI SHORTSET AT 1 TIME!!

Swagger Junky: How did you get so involved within the fashion industry? Do you have any regrets being so involved, if so can you name them?

Joe:I ALWAYS LIKED FASHION BUT NEVER KNEW IT COULD B A JOB TILL I MOVED 2 LA..I USED 2 DO HAIR THEN WHEN I GOT IN THE BIZ EVE WAS MY 1ST CLIENT AND REMEMBER WHEN SHE STARTED SHE DIDNT HAVE NO HAIR..SO I PICKED HER CLOTHES OUT N GOT PAID.

Swagger Junky:  What is one thing you have learned within this industry, which can help new aspiring designers and stylists?

Joe:BEST THING 2 DO IS ASSIST 1ST ..U BUILD RELATIONSHIPS..AND U MUST MAINTAIN GOOD RELATIONSHIPS AND RETURN CLOTHES ON TIME 2 SHOWROOMS

Swagger Junky: Where do yourself in five years?

Joe:I OPENED DESTINATION 1610 ARTIST DEVELOPEMENT AND STYLE..SO WE WILL PROB HAVE 2 MORE LOCATIONS IN 5YRS NYAND ATL. www.destination1610.com

Swagger Junky: What Does Destination 1610 do?

Joe:WE MAKE UNKNOWNS KNOWN. WE CREATE STARS. WE MAKE BRANDS HOT GETTING ON THEM ON CELEBS, MAGS, ETC. HOLLA AT US!

Swagger Junky: What is your point of view with everyone wearing high-end brands just to wear them? We know lots of different people have different opinions on this subject, what is your opinion?

Joe:I DONT SEE ANYTHING WRONG WITH PEOPLE WEARING HIGH END BRANDS ITS JUST SAD THAT SOMEPEOPLE ONLY WEAR GUCCI,LOUIS,DOLCE…NO CREATIVITY…OH WELL MORE EXCLUSIVES 4 ME!!(SMILE) BUT PEOPLE SHOULD SUPPORT NEW UP AND COMING BRANDS

Swagger Junky: Can you give our viewers a few people you styled, and just give us a background on what styling consist of?

Joe:I HAVE STYLED…EVE,KEYSHIA COLE,MYA,KIMORA,LISA RAYE,CARMELO ANTHONY,ROB DYRDEK AND MORE…STYLING MEANS PULLING CLOTHES BORROWING CLOTHES FROM DESIGNERS..SHOWROOMS AND BOUTIQUES 4 ARTIST ETC… 4 RED CARPETS PHOTO SHOOTS APPEARANCES VIDEO AND MORE!!

Swagger Junky: What would you say to anyone who wants to be a stylist?

Joe:GO 4 IT!!ITS A BUISNESS ITS NOT JUST ABOUT CLOTHES!!

Joe:LIVE LIFE 2 THE FULLEST!!! DREAM BIG…DREAMS R REAL DREAMS COME TRUE MY LIFE IS A DREAM I MADE UP A NAME AND RAN WITH IT,IVE NEVER HAD A JOB A DAY IN MY LIFE..IVE CREATED MY OWN DESTINY!!!
